The Locality Community Business Bright Ideas Fund aims to support community groups through the provision of grants alongside tools to start the process of setting up a community business. The programme aims to support organisations within the early stages of development so they can carry out consultations with local people and complete feasibility studies.
Alongside grant funding, the support they offer includes:
- Initial and ongoing support, either online, by phone or where possible through visits
- Community business development plans, to help successful groups develop plans for their community business
- Mentoring and visit
- Regional networking and events
To be eligible to apply for a grant of up to £15,000 applicants need to be a local organisation based in England that has a community business idea that will benefit your local community.
