The Ironmongers’ Company aim to provide support for projects surrounding disadvantaged young people and children to help them achieve their potential.
Grants can only be awarded to a registered charity whose projects, meet the entirety of the following:
- Must be within the UK
- Help disadvantaged children and young people who are under the ages of 25
- Include educational activities that lead to the developmental outcome of motivation, skills and learning.
They are looking for projects that are evident in providing educational benefits towards a specific group of young people or children. Including a full explanation in order to be considered for equipment, explaining how you plan to support these activities.
Grants given average at £4,000 and range from a few hundred pounds to £10,000 and must be spent within 12 months of being awarded. If successful it is expected as a recipient to submit a written report of evaluation, 3 months from your completion.
The Company aims to make a noticeable difference and so preference is given to smaller organisations, as well as projects that would need a significant amount of their cost covered.
You must submit no more three A4 pages outlining the objectives you aim to meet as an organisation, alongside the application summary sheet. The Application Procedure is available on their website.
