Field Studies Council (FSC) Centres are located across the UK in a diverse range of natural environments. FSC Centres are all equipped with a range of Fieldwork equipment that is often not available at schools and colleges.
The FSC offers grants to pay for up to 75% of the course fees for disadvantaged young people to attend a non-curriculum day or residential course at an FSC Learning Location.
The Kids Fund is intended to support visits to an FSC Learning Location from young people who may face barriers in attending due to health, mobility, deprivation or financial reasons. Grants can be used to support groups of 10 or more young people aged 4-18 years or up to 25 years for those with special needs.
FSC Kids Fund will not fund travel costs or any personal equipment needed to attend a course e.g. rucksacks, bags, clothes, food etc.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed during the first two weeks of March and November each year. To apply, download an application form from the website and return it by email to the FSC.
