Get Grants takes the safety, security and confidentiality of our attendees extremely seriously, and have put the measures detailed in this policy in place to minimise risk at our online events.
Get Grants uses Zoom for our online events, including Training Courses, Masterclasses, Workshops, Conferences, and Community events.
We have a range of measures in place in order to minimise risk and provide the best quality for attendees, which are reviewed on an ongoing basis. All events are protected through the measures provided below.
How we keep our online events safe and secure
- Password protection: we use unique links and password for each individual session.
- Waiting room: All events that are led as Zoom Meetings have a Waiting Room enabled to stop attendees starting events before the Host(s) are in place.
- Recording by Get Grants: Webinars may be recorded and posted on our website. Attendees are made aware of this when joining the event.
- Recording by attendees: We do not allow attendees to record our sessions.
- Hosts: All online events with other 20 attendees are led by a minimum of two hosts.
- Guidance for trainers & hosts: All Get Grants trainers, hosts and guest speakers are provided with guidance enabling them to help keep meetings secure.
- Zoom Settings: We make use of Zoom’s settings to ensure that meetings are unable to start without the host present, removed participants are unable to return, screen sharing by attendees is not allowed, and hosts are able to turn off cameras and mute participants.
How we ask attendees to help keep our events safe and secure
- Register yourself via Eventbrite for the event: You are not be able to join an online event unless you are registered to attend.
- Keep your Zoom software up to date: Zoom continually improves the security of their platform, please ensure you have downloaded the most recent version.
- Join the event using your own name: Allowing us to cross-reference your name with those of registered attendees.
- Don’t share meeting and webinar links: Please do not share with others or post links to our sessions or meeting IDs on social media
- Use of Cameras: You are able to join events with your camera’s turned off if you prefer to
