This course is suitable for fundraisers (and those responsible for fundraising) who are looking to launch or grow their Community Fundraising income. This course is designed to benefit small to medium-sized not-for-profit organisations. This course is suitable for people who are completely new to fundraising, as well as experienced fundraisers looking to broaden their skills.
What to expect:
Over two 2-hour sessions, our Get Grants expert will take you through tips, tricks, and tools to increase your Community Fundraising success.
This course will develop your knowledge and practical understanding of Community Fundraising, build your confidence, and equip you with a range of skills that you can put into practice. In this course, you will:
- Understand the different activities involved in Community Fundraising.
- Explore how Community Fundraising can work best for your organisation – coming up with ideas, setting realistic ambitions, and looking at different platforms.
- Develop your ideas with feedback.
- Begin developing a practical plan for your Community Fundraising.
- Learn how to recruit fundraisers, volunteers, and promote your fundraising opportunities.
- Think about your wider Community Fundraising strategy including building relationships, case studies, and monitoring and evaluation.

About the Trainer
Rosie Milsom has 11 years’ experience of working in the charity sector.
She has worked for large and small charities, for causes from arts fundraising to medical research and young people. She is an all-round fundraiser, with extensive experience in fundraising strategy, individual giving, Trusts & Foundations and community fundraising.
Rosie is currently Head of Fundraising at The British Youth Council, a small national youth charity, where she has supported an overall increase of 40% of fundraised income during a particularly tough time for charities. In her prior role at Caudwell LymeCo, she launched an Individual Giving income stream from scratch, growing by 600% in her first 12 months.
Alongside her fundraising career, Rosie is a certified life coach, supporting women across the UK to increase their self-worth and success. She achieves life-changing results for her clients, and uses her coaching skills when delivering training and working with mentees.
She is also Trustee of a local youth music charity, a board member of a dance theatre company, a keen fan of Harry Potter (though not JK Rowling) and a dog mum.
