About the Trainer
John Ellery is the Managing Director of Get Grants Ltd, a Birmingham based Grant Fundraising and Grant Giving consultancy that works with not-for-profit organisations and grant making charities from across the UK. Since establishing Get Grants in 2012, the consultancy has worked with over 200 different organisations and trained over 1,500 course attendees to become more successful fundraisers.
Prior to establishing Get Grants, John worked for a range of local community organisations and national charities, in particular working in disadvantaged communities and with young people with disabilities. He also has considerable experience in grant making, most recently spending a three-year period working for a national grant making charity and on a personal level establishing a small grant making Trust.
John can be regularly found, alongside the rest of the Get Grants team, working from the Moseley Exchange in Birmingham talking about homebrew, his three young children and the woes of supporting Crystal Palace.
