You don’t need to be a finance expert to be a great fundraiser. But you do need a working knowledge of your organisation’s key financial information and what funders are looking for in application forms.
As some funding programmes get more competitive and specific, this is an important fundraising skill that can help you avoid grant funding rejections!
Get Grants Finance for Fundraisers MASTERCLASS, led by Get Grants Founder & Director John Ellery, is delivered from the perspective of an experienced fundraiser rather than a finance expert – giving you a practical and accessible overview of the key financial information you need to know for fundraising.
This session will cover understanding your annual accounts, key terminology, how funders assess finances and influencing your own annual accounts.
This practical session will support you to be able to clearly explain your finances to a funder to show you as a credible organisation (and avoid an automatic rejection), and confidently make the case to your trustees, finance department, or even your accountant to make sure your accounts are helping, rather than hindering your fundraising efforts.
