Who this course is for:
This course is designed for anyone working in Fundraising who wants to build their skills and confidence in managing people. This course is ideal for fundraisers who are interested in advancing their careers, have recently been promoted into a management role, and managers who have never benefitted from any formal management training.
It is suited for fundraisers at any size organisation and is applicable whether you manage one or one hundred fundraisers!
What to expect:
The online course is delivered via Zoom, across two lots of 2-hour sessions, leaving some time in between to read further course material and reflect on the information given.
This course will cover the full spectrum of fundraising manager responsibilities and tasks. It explores recruitment and onboarding, management styles and coaching techniques and provides practical ideas to lead any size fundraising team with confidence.
During this course, you will:
- Understand the activities a manager should be doing on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis to lead an effective and successful fundraising team.
- Discover different leadership management styles and how to tailor them to your team’s skills and abilities.
- Look at how to motivate your team, how to provide effective feedback and to help grow their potential.
- Learn how to use coaching to support your team with different fundraising challenges.
- Identify ways to strengthen your recruitment processes (including how to craft a job advert, where to advertise, interviewing, identifying the best candidates, and the importance of onboarding processes).
Sessions are designed to build your practical skills and knowledge through friendly support with lots of opportunities to ask questions and receive top tips from an expert.
