The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust

June 22, 2016 by John

The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust is a national Trust that supports organisations across the UK through the provision of small grants.

The priorities of the Fund changes on an annual basis with the interests of the charity for the next three years already set out. They will only accept grants within these categories, which are:

  • 2017: Music and the Arts, The Elderly
  • 2018: Medical, Community
  • 2019: Children and Young People.

Only supporting registered charities, they offer grants of either £1,000 or £5,000 with the majority of grants being the smaller amount.

The Trust’s website provides a FAQ section that should be read prior to applying. The website also offers useful information in the form of a list of previously successful applicants, this can be used to ascertain whether the Trust have funded organisations similar to yours.

The Trust have an online application, which they prefer to be completed (a paper copy can be requested if you are unable to use the online system), and also offer a sample version of the form so that you can work up your answers offline before submitting via the website.
