The Kelly Family Charitable Trust makes grants to local or regional UK registered charities with initiatives that support and encourage the families to work together to face adverse situations.
The Kelly Family Charitable Trust provides support in three main areas:
- Interventions that help prevent the fracture of the family unit e.g. relationship counselling and mediation
- Families where sexual, physical, alcohol/drug abuse or domestic violence threaten the integrity of the family unit
- Prisoners and their families during and after the period of imprisonment
The Trust generally makes grants of up to £5,000 but higher amounts may occasionally be considered by the Trustees. The trust prefers to support charities with an income of under £500,000, and they actively encourage applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established. Larger charities with pilot projects that meet the Trust’s objectives will also be considered.
Grants from the Kelly Family Charitable Trust may be used for both capital and revenue costs. The trust is happy to support requests for both core funding and project-based costs.
To apply, simply download an application form from the Trust’s website and return it by email before the deadline.
Application deadlines occur annually on 1st March and 1st September. When applications are submitted, the trust carries out an initial screening before getting in touch to ask for more details, or to arrange a visit to your charity.
