The Forte Charitable Foundation (Previously known as Trusthouse) is a medium-sized independent grantmaking foundation which makes grants totalling around £2 million a year to a variety of charitable projects. They fund both charities and charitable organisations, and provide grants for both general running costs and capital projects.
The aim of the foundation is to address local issues in areas of extreme urban deprivation, or in remote and fragile rural communities. They offer ‘Small Grants’ of up to £10,00 and ‘Major Grants’ between £10,000 and £50,000, depending on your organisation’s annual income.
Your project must support a community that sits within the IMD deprivation limits set out in the trusts funding guidelines. You can find out which grants you are eligible for in their guidelines, which can be found here.
Trusthouse offers further information on the types of projects they consider, along with a comprehensive FAQ’s, which can be found here.
