The Steel Charitable Trust is a family Trust that has been providing grants to charities for over 40 years. The trust has changed their giving programmes for 2025 and for the forthcoming 5 years. They are as follows:
- the United Kingdom Under-26 Fund, open to eligible applicants from any part of the UK (except Luton) for projects/core work anywhere in the UK. The overarching focus of this fund is on creating educational and/or access opportunities for those in circumstances, groups or locations that face economic challenges, social marginalisation or poor outcomes in later life. Grants range from £10,000 – £25,000 and applications are by online form and are reviewed quarterly with dates published on the funder’s website.
- the NEW Luton Matters programme, open to eligible applicants from anywhere in the UK for work that is to be delivered for the benefit of Luton and/or its residents has a 2 stage application process and deadlines are published on the funder’s website. Grants range from £10,000 – £25,000 and applications are by online application form.
