The Rowing Foundation offers both Equipment and Refurbishment grants to support junior & student rowers, and adaptive rowing for all ages with organisations able to apply for up to £4,000 in any 5 year period over the two programmes. This can be comprised of a single grant or smaller grants aggregated over the period. Grants are awarded as a 50% match to the money spend by an applicant on the relevant project.
Most grants go to UK Rowing Clubs – but the funder may also support any club or organisation involved in “on water rowing-type” activities.
In order to be considered for a grant, you must be:
- located in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- an established club with an active junior/student programme, or with existing facilities suitable for disabled rowers
- applying for a grant for a specific project and purpose
Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis and the dates of the application deadlines can be found on the website. Applications can be completed and submitted online using the form on the Foundation’s website.
There is a separate application process detailed for Refurbishment Grants.
