The UK Financial Literacy Foundation is a grant-giving charity committed to advancing knowledge and improving skills in financial capacities and capabilities, working particularly with young people and others from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Foundation welcomes applications for one-year grants between £20,000 and £50,000.
Currently the Foundation is focussing on groups working in Yorkshire and the Humber and on projects working to improve financial literacy with:
- Primary aged children aged 5-11
- Looked After Children or those At Risk of Care – up to age 17
- Care leavers aged 18-24
- Offenders and Ex-Offenders (any age) for- work that supports reducing reoffending
Organisations will need to provide two years full accounts and hold reserves of less than £5m.
Please note: They do not fund general fundraising appeals, work that replaces statutory funding, retrospective costs, or capital projects where that is the sole focus.
