The 29th May 1961 Charity is a Charitable Trust that offers grants for other registered charities working in the UK. Priority is given to organisations working in the Midlands, particularly Coventry and Warwickshire, however groups across the UK are regularly funded. The scheme supports general charitable purposes, and gives out grants of around £5million each year.
There is no minimum or maximum amount that the charity specifies you have to apply for, and applications may be submitted at any time. The Charity publishes lists of awards granted in their Annual Report and Accounts available on the Charity Commission website.
The Charity supports both Capital and Revenue applications and if successful you cannot apply again for a further 2 years.
Applications must be submitted via the Charity’s website with an Eligibility Quiz needing to be completed before accessing the online system.
There are no deadlines and decisions on applications are usually made by Trustees four times a year.
