The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust is a grant giving Charitable Trust founded in 1992 in memory of one of Britain’s leading mountaineers, Andy Fanshawe, who tragically died whilst rock climbing, shortly before his 29th birthday.
The trust offer grants for charitable purposes relating to disadvantaged young people in pursuit of developing an existing interest in outdoor activities and sports.
Placing an emphasis on applicants being enthusiastic and imaginative with their applications, the trust provides a great opportunity for smaller organisations to gain funding towards their ideas and plans to support disadvantaged young people in pursuing their existing interest in the outdoors.
The Trust will usually only consider applications from organisations who are lading projects within the UK. It does not fund capital projects, taster sessions or one-off residential trips.
The application itself is fairly simple, and can be submitted by email or post by simply answering a few questions detailed on the applications page which you can view on their website.
