Severn Trent Community Fund

by John

From 2020-2025 the Severn Trent Community Fund will give away £10 million to support local projects, charities (including exempt charities e.g. schools) and community groups in the Severn Trent region. Funding decisions will be overseen by a panel of Severn Trent water company customers, who will review applications on a quarterly basis.

Projects are funded under three main themes:

  • People: Projects that help people to gain new skills or improve their lives
  • Places: Projects that help to create better places to live in and use
  • Environment: Projects that help to look after the natural environment, improve access to nature or help look after water

There are three sizes of grant that you can apply for:

  • £2,000 to £10,000
  • £10,001 to £75,000
  • £75,001 to £250,000

In order to apply for above £10,000, your organisation must either be a Registered Charity, or a Registered Company with Companies House.

In addition to the above, the Severn Trent Community Fund will have a strong interest in projects that have a connection to the water cycle. This could include projects that will create sustainable drainage, install water recycling systems or create water efficient green spaces.

Full details are available on the company’s website.
