The Sheldon Trust provides grants in four defined focus areas: community projects in the West Midlands, special needs groups around the West Midlands, Youth projects supporting 16-25 year olds around the UK and Holiday Activities and Retreats for disadvantaged groups around the UK. Grants may be provided for specific projects, operating costs (including staff), refurbishment, and specific items of equipment. However, capital appeals for building costs and vehicles are not considered.
The Trust do not consider applications from Charities with a turnover of over £1 million or unrestricted reserves of more than six months turnover.
Grants for community projects and special needs groups are geographically earmarked to the West Midlands. Youth development grants are to focus on young people aged 16-25 anywhere in the UK, however they have a preference for the West Midlands. Check their website for the next Funding Window.
Applications for the Sheldon Holiday Funding are open at specific times across the year and are published on their website. If you wish to apply under this category, you can complete and submit the online application form together with the supporting documents via their website.
