The Sheldon Trust provides grants in four defined focus areas: community projects, special needs groups, youth development, and holidays for the disadvantaged. Grants may be provided for specific projects, operating costs (including staff), refurbishment, and specific items of equipment. However, capital appeals for building costs and vehicles are not considered.
Grants for community projects and special needs groups are geographically earmarked to the West Midlands. Youth development grants are to focus on young people aged 16-25 anywhere in the UK and holiday funding is available for the Greater London and West Midlands areas. Applications will be considered throughout the year but please allow up to 8 weeks between submission and notification of the result.
Applications for the Sheldon Holiday Funding are open throughout the year. If you wish to apply under this category, you can complete and submit the online application form together with the supporting documents (i.e., a signed copy of your most recent accounts and a budget for the proposed project) via their website.
