The Goldsmiths’ Company is one of the twelve livery companies of the City of London, which has its own charitable trust. The charity makes grants to London and national charities with a turnover of less than £5 million. The charity often makes small grants of up to £5,000.
In order to apply, The Goldsmiths’ Company Charity advises organisations to contact them to make sure their project is eligible before embarking on the application process. Applications for specific projects are preferred but requests for core funding will also be considered.
Applications for a charitable grant should be made by letter, not more than two sides of A4 in length, highlighting the case for the Goldsmiths’ Company Charity to give its support. The letter should be accompanied by a completed application form (of no more than 4 sides of A4) along with the Charity’s most recent annual accounts.
Applications can be submitted at any time and guidelines, the application form and case studies can be found on the Goldsmiths’ Company Charity website.
