In our popular FREE Meet the Funder & Meet the Expert Events, Get Grants are joined by funders and sector experts to talk about their funding programmes and services. These events allow attendees to get unique insights and ask questions.
We make all of our Meet the Funder/Expert Events available to watch again for FREE on our website.
Meet the Funder – The Clothworkers’ Foundation

At our November 2025 event, Get Grants were joined by Jack Abbotts, The Clothworkers’ Foundation. This Session looks at providing valuable insights into their Open Grants Programmes.
About the Open Grants Programmes
Small Grants Programme – Grants of up to £15,000 are available to organisations with a turnover of £2 million or less. There is one application form to complete and decisions take up to twelve weeks.
Large Grants Programme – Grants of over £15,000 are available to organisations with a turnover of £10 million or less.
- There is an application form to complete and we will notify you of whether you have been invited to submit a second-stage application form within six weeks.
- Once you have submitted a second-stage application form, we will notify you of the outcome within six months.
Both programmes are open to applications on a rolling basis and there are no deadlines for submission.

The Foundation was established in 1977 to serve as The Clothworkers’ Company’s main method of charitable giving. Since then, we have given capital grants totalling more than £158 million to charities and not-for-profit organisations that are registered in the UK.
